The story of the game is somewhat based off of the original concept story of Alien³ (1992) where Cpl. Hicks and another team of Colonial Marines discover a top secret research facility by Weyland-Yutani that is focused on using the Aliens as Bio Weapons
Publisher SEGA and developer Gearbox were sued due to false advertisement. Released demos and screenshots did not match the final game. Although Gearbox was eventually dropped from the suit, SEGA is still being sued for the false advertising
