A listing on Amazon has potentially revealed that the classic PS2 game GTA San Andreas will be coming to the PS3 in the near future.
The listing (link here) shows that the game will be released in the North American region starting on the 1st of December. The price listed is $19.99 possibly meaning that this won’t be a remastered version but merely a direct port to the PS3.
Some people in the past have been able to download San Andreas onto their PS3’s but this release could mean that the game will finally be available as physical copies and everybody will be able to access it.
To backup the validity of this product the game description also matches the original PS2’s version: “Five years ago, Carl Johnson escaped from the pressures of life in Los Santos, San Andreas, a city tearing itself apart with gang trouble, drugs and corruption. Now, it’s the early 90’s. Carl’s got to go home, but his family has fallen apart and his childhood friends are heading towards disaster. To make matters worse, he’s just been framed for homicide. CJ is forced on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets.”
In my own opinion the re-release of San Andreas has got me thinking that maybe Rockstar want to remind us of CJ or let people play as him that may not have done before.. this could be some clever marketing leading him up to return in the long anticipated Story DLC for GTA 5…
